‘SYN’icious effect on “Rashmi Uday Singh”
Nov 15th
Rashmi Uday Singh, chaiman of “Worlds 50 best restaurants Academy” is all praise for the food at SYN. She expressed all this and more in her article on Times of India. We are very happy to see how much she enjoyed our food.
Check it out on Times of India.
Sushi in Hyderabad
Nov 9th

Sushi
If Hyderabad is indeed a microcosm of the one world we live in today, then its appropriation of the cuisine which has universally embraced the world over is only a pointer that we have indeed matured
as a city- in every sense.
The Japanese cuisine exemplifies the evolution of aesthetics, of sensibilities redefined. It is a living testimony that defines the dictum of minimalism. And nothing could be more juxtaposed to the
cliché of Hyderabad being a hi-tech city.
This brings up our new restaurant, SYN – The Asian Bar and grill at The Taj Deccan. It offers a perfect setting for the true globalisation of a cuisine which is often regarded as much too esoteric and exotic for the hyderabadi Biryani
palate- basically kacchi machhi, which is considered way , way too
foreign for land locked butter chicken and biryani.
Well, all that and much more has changed today. An ordinary teenager wolfsdown slice after slithering slice of raw fish with as much aplomb as the well travelled.Sushi is no longer
something mushy.
SYN – all 7000 square feet of it- is designed by the renowned designer
Thom Cattalo , and is a refreshing break from the past.
